Miracles..in & around our life.

SHARED THOUGHTS....22.08.2011.
=====================================

Miracles come in many forms in our lives…. Most of the miracles in our lives, occur on a daily basis and largely go unnoticed, even by those enjoying these miracles..….they are all taken for granted, in our stride.….a miracle in our life need not be one that comes in any grandiose fashion with a flash of lightning or thunder… miracle can be such simple things .. that only the loss of any of those simple things, will make us realize, that we had been living with a miracle all along, yet failed to acknowledge.

=======================================================

A group of students were asked what they thought were the present Seven Wonders of the World... there were some disagreements, but the following seven were later agreed upon as indeed the Seven Wonders of the World.

Egypt’s Great Pyramids
The Taj Mahal
Grand Canyon
Panama Canal
Empire State Building
St.Peter’s basilica
Great Wall of China.

While gathering the votes, the teacher noticed one student had not finished her paper yet. So she asked the student, if she was having problems with her list.
“Yes, a little”..she said..” I couldn’t quite make up my mind because... there are so many ....”
Teacher said, “Well, tell us what you have, maybe we can help.”

The girl hesitated and then read....”I think the seven wonders of the world are....
To See, To Hear, To Touch, To Taste, To Feel, To Laugh, To Love....”

The class-room was so quiet, one could hear a pin drop.

The things we overlook as simple and ordinary and take for granted, are truly so wondrous...A gentle reminder that the most precious things in life are things that cannot be built by hand or bought by money.

(thank you Hyma)

Another beautiful illustration of a Wonder of the World, call it Miracle or simply a  Blessing which we don’t realize its importance, until  it is lost…!!

------------------------------------------------

An 80 year old man had an infection in his ears which made him almost deaf. The doctors informed him that  an operation was necessary to cure this disease. He agreed to have the
operation done as he couldn’t hear anything apart from the severe pain in the ears.

When the operation was completed successfully, his doctor gave him the bill which covered all the costs.

The old man looked at the bill and started to cry. Upon seeing this the doctor felt pity on the old man and told him that if the cost was too high then they could make some other arrangements.

The old man said “I am not crying because of the money but I am crying because God let me hear for 80 years and He never sent me a bill.”

(thank you Surendran Thampi )

Another true Wonder of the World.....may be one can call the Wonder of wonders.

The birth of a child has been going on for millenniums, yet, every child birth is indeed a miracle of some sort... the conceiving of a young, growth of foetus in the womb, development of faculties in the foetus and then........... the actual birth – are fraught with unpredictable twists and turns......that no technology or science can guarantee to deliver a fool proof happy end result...  the nature has its own mind... its own ways...irrespective whether affecting rich or poor.

It is this daily occurring ‘Wonder’ that my family bore witness to on 18th Aug .....when my daughter gave birth to a baby girl....for which we acknowledge in all humility that there is something beyond our comprehension working for all around us ... some unknown power at play..!!
it is this unknown that we call “Miracle”.

Love from a distance..&. making the most of what u have

SHARED THOUGHTS….14.08.2011.
==============================

Very often we face situations, when we are concerned with the kind of response we get from others.. that tend to be different from what we may have anticipated…. This leads to disappointment, or reactions from us that may not wholly help the cause to build bridges…. The following provides a very simple solution to face such situations. Understanding the essence of this message helps one to love from a distance and not be disappointed………..
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Not Everyone Is Spiritually Healthy And Mature Enough To Have A Front Row Seat In Our Lives. There Are Some People In Our Life That Need To Be Loved From A Distance.

It's Amazing What We Can Accomplish When We Let Go, Or At Least Minimize Your Time With Draining, Negative, Incompatible, Not-Going-Anywhere Relationships, Friendships, and Fellowships.

Observe The Relationships Around Us. Pay Attention To…Which Ones Lift And Which Ones Lean...Which Ones Encourage And Which Ones Discourage... Which Ones Are On A Path Of Growth Uphill And Which Ones Are Going Downhill…

When We Leave Certain People, Do We Feel Better Or Feel Worse? Which Ones Always Have Drama ....Or... Don't Really Understand, Know And Appreciate Us And The Gift That Lies Within Us...

When We Seek Growth, Peace Of Mind, Love And Truth, The Easier It Will Become For Us To Decide Who Gets To Sit In The Front Row And Who Should Be Moved To The Balcony Of Our Life.

We Cannot Change The People Around Us But We Can Change The People We Are Around With.
Ask God For Godly Wisdom  And Discernment

Let Us Choose Wisely The People Who Sit In The Front Row Of Our Life.

( Thank you Ajit )

Life is too short to wake up with regrets... Love the people who treat
you right and forget about the ones who don't.

ENJOY LIFE NOW - IT HAS AN EXPIRATION DATE!

Try  not to become a man of success.

Try not to become a man of success, but rather to become a man of value.
He is considered successful in our day who gets more out of life that he puts in.
But a man of value - will give more than he receives !

A valuable lesson in making the most of what you have.

Madan Mohan Malaviya was a freedom fighter, author, editor & publisher of newspapers, educationist, staunch Hindu. He is credited with popularising the slogan "Satymeva Jayate". He was the first one to establish a private university in India which is based on the model of historical Nalanda, Takasheela Vidya Peethams.

When Malaviya was trying to build a good university, he had to overcome many difficulties and barriers. He worked with determination to start the university. There was a funds crisis; but he did not get disheartened. He went from town to town, met many rich people and traders to collect donations.

He went to the Nizam of Hyderabad (then reputedly the richest man in the world) to request him for funds. The Nizam was furious, " How dare you come to me for funds and that too for a Hindu University? " He roared with anger, took off his footwear and flung it at Malaviya.

Malaviya picked up the footwear and left silently. He went directly to the market place and began to auction the footwear. As it was Nizam's footwear, many came forward to buy it. The bids kept going up.

When Nizam heard of this, he became uneasy. He thought it would be an insult if his footwear were to be bought by someone for a pittance. So he sent one of his attendants with the instruction, 'Buy that footwear no matter whatever the price be!'

Thus, Malaviya managed to sell the Nizam's own footwear back to him, for a huge amount. He used that money to build the Banaras Hindu University.

Moral of the story: It does not matter what you have, but how you make use of what you have, in your Life & Business.

Prove Your Worth

There will be good days. And there will be bad days.
There will be times when - you want to turn around, pack it up, and call it quits.

Don’t give up at that time. Don’t Quit.
Its an opportunity to prove your worth.
