Negative thoughts are good too.

SHARED THOUGHTS....... 30.01.2015.

Negative thoughts are good. One can derive benefit from it. They are
helpful, too. At various stages of life, we are confronted with non-stop
lecture and quite unsolicited advice from parents, elders, teachers,
colleagues, bosses, friends on how to stay positive...be positive.. have
positive thoughts..  we hear this many a time. No one wants to hear more
about being positive than the youngsters of today, who are the last people
who need further advice, for they (seem) to know everything.

As the energy of the vibrant youth and the tough exterior dissipates, giving
way to sobriety and maturity, many negative thoughts invariably creep in, no
matter how positive our natural inclinations can be. With all the pressure
of having to stay positive all the time, the unavoidable negative thoughts
can bring about a feeling of guilt or in excess measure of negativity, it
can cause even depression.

There is nothing wrong to be negative. In fact, it is a good quality to be
negative at times. For a positive minded Manager, the inputs from a member
of his team, who keeps looking at the negative aspect of a proposal,
agreement or negotiation, will reveal factors that may not have been weighed
by the Manager. Looking at the negatives is different from being negative.

How to convert negativity into an opportunity? Life is fragile and the
present state of prosperity, health, wealth and glamour can change in one
fleeting moment. Nothing lasts forever. On a negative thought, just imagine,
a major disaster takes place, thrusting upon us a state of despair.. how we
would be?

Being aware that such a change of fortune can take place any time for
anyone, can bring in a feeling of humility, when life is on song.

This sense of humility will do good to win well wishes from others, instead
of an air of arrogance otherwise.

Enough of negatives... let us look at positives from a different angle.

Positive thoughts are those thoughts which give us and others the experience
of our original virtues like Peace, Love, Bliss, Happiness etc. They enable
you to accumulate inner strength and equip you to be constructive. Positive
thoughts are always beneficial in all circumstances, without trapping you in
the external appearance of a situation.

Thinking positively does not mean ignoring the reality of your world, living
in a fantasy or longing to be another person. For example... if you are not
well, repeating many times, I am well, I am well..  is not positive
thinking.

Thinking positively involves looking at problems and recognizing reality. At
the same time being able to find solutions without becoming obsessed or
confused. This often requires tolerance, patience and common sense. A person
who thinks positively is aware of the weakness of others, but even then will
direct their attention towards their positive characteristics.

Positive thoughts make you happy and as a result your expectations of others
decrease. This does not mean that they do not matter to you, but that you no
longer demand love, respect, recognition or even calm from them and it makes
your relationships that much easier.

This is the best way to create long lasting and harmonious relationships.
When you have inner happiness, you have the strength to accept other people
as they are without wanting them to be different. This acceptance produces
more peaceful relationships. With the positive attitude you create, you can
offer yourself to other people just the way you are, with your virtues and
limitations, without pretense.

Your body also benefits greatly, since when you  have a balanced harmonious
mind you are less susceptible to illnesses. A person who has many useless
thoughts will often feel very tired because they are spending their energy
in creating thousands of unnecessary and inefficient thoughts.

Your mind is strengthened and healed by being nourished with positive
thoughts.

A healthy mind is the basis of a balanced personality.

One must know how to balance the degree of care and caution of negative
thoughts with a positive outlook, which is more important than trying to be
positive all the time.

Just  a matter of learning to live with the persistent exertion of body and
mind.

Two short ways to get peace of mind.

“Forgive what you cannot forget”

“Forget what you cannot forgive”.

Live every moment ; Laugh every day ;  Love Beyond words :

============================================================

A pencil maker told the pencil 5 important lessons just before putting it in
the box:

1.) everything you do will always leave a mark.

2.) you can always correct the mistakes you make.

3.) what is important is what is inside of you.

4.) in life , you will undergo painful sharpening s, which will only make
you better.

5.) to be the best pencil, you must allow yourself to be held and guided by
the hand that holds you.

We all need to be constantly sharpened.  This parable may encourage you to
know that you are a special person, with unique God-given talents and
abilities.  Only you can fulfill the purpose which you were born to
accomplish.  Never allow yourself to get discouraged and think that your
life is insignificant and cannot be changed and, like the pencil.

Always remember that the most important part of who you are, is what's
inside of you.

Have a peaceful week ahead all of you,
